STATE. STRUCTURE. DYNAMICS. CONTINUITY.

The brain is not a static wiring diagram. Every meaningful cognitive state emerges from structure, recurrent activity, memory activation, neurochemical context, stimulus history, and time. EXIST therefore treats continuity as a systems problem.

01

Neural State Acquisition

A multimodal acquisition process estimates structural connectivity, electrophysiological dynamics, neurovascular and metabolic proxies, memory-linked activation patterns, behavioral response, language state, and affective profile.

02

Dynamic Connectome Model

The Dynamic Connectome Model represents the subject as an evolving state space constrained by anatomy, recurrent dynamics, memory, and learned response. It is probabilistic by design.

03

Continuity State Representation

CSR combines Structural Constraint, Dynamic State, Memory Association, Semantic Self, Affective Parameter, Behavioral Strategy, and Provenance & Validation layers.

04

Identity Continuity Index

ICI is an internal composite metric built from Autobiographical Memory Stability, Semantic Self Consistency, Preference Persistence, Affective Response Correspondence, Cognitive Strategy Similarity, and Temporal Dynamics Correspondence.

05

Continuity Validation Engine

A reconstructed state is challenged against the canonical acquisition period through memory recall, semantic self-model comparison, preference ranking, affective response, dynamic timing, and adversarial identity checks.

06

Secure Persistence

Continuity data is identity-critical material. Architecture includes segmented encrypted storage, redundant state archives, controlled reconstruction environments, provenance tracking, and multi-party authorization.

07

Substrate Reconstruction

The target substrate must reproduce validated functional state transitions, not merely neural topology.

08

Limitations

Models contain uncertainty. Memory reconstruction can vary. Affective response can drift. Long-duration states require monitoring. Validation thresholds are engineering decisions and are continuously revised.
